A photo of Donald Trump in the White House has reignited conspiracy theories after social media users noticed his right ear—previously injured in a 2024 assassination attempt—looked unscarred.
During a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks shot at Trump with an AR-15-style rifle. Trump was hit in the ear, while two others were critically injured and one person killed.
Crooks was fatally shot by the Secret Service. Trump wore a bandage during recovery, and supporters mimicked it in solidarity. However, a recent June 21 photo showed no visible damage to his ear, sparking online skepticism.
Critics joked about “miraculous healing,” while others pointed out the impossibility of faking a public shooting with thousands of witnesses and camera footage, including one that captured the bullet mid-air.
The FBI confirmed Trump was hit by a bullet, not shrapnel. Former White House physician Ronny Jackson documented a 2 cm gunshot wound and ongoing bleeding. Trump later said he still feels throbbing pain, calling the presidency “a dangerous business.”
