How to Boil Corn on the Cob Perfectly.

Choose Fresh Corn: Look for green, damp husks and plump, straight-rowed kernels. Avoid dry or brown husks. Boiling Time: Fresh corn: 4–6 minutes, Older corn: 6–8 minutes, Large ears: 8–10 minutes.

Steps: Peel husks and silk, rinse.

Boil water (1 quart per ear). Add corn without overcrowding.

Simmer for recommended time. Remove with tongs and serve. Topping Ideas:. Butter & salt. Parmesan cheese. Chili powder & lime.
