Heart attacks are a leading cause of death, but the body often signals trouble weeks in advance. Recognizing these signs early can save lives. Chest Discomfort – Pressure, fullness, or pain in the chest, especially if it lasts or recurs, requires immediate medical attention. Shortness of Breath – Difficulty breathing without exertion may indicate heart trouble. Unusual Fatigue – Persistent exhaustion without a clear cause, especially in women, can signal heart issues. Dizziness or Lightheadedness – Poor blood flow to the brain may cause frequent dizziness. Nausea or Indigestion – Stomach pain or discomfort, especially in women, can precede a heart attack. Pain in Other Areas – Discomfort radiating to the arms, back, neck, or jaw may be heart-related. Cold Sweats – Sudden sweating without exertion can be a warning sign
