A lighthearted moment at a Coldplay concert has led to serious fallout for Astronomer’s now-former CEO, Andy Byron. During a show at Gillette Stadium, the stadium’s kiss cam landed on Byron and a woman identified as Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer.
As the camera zoomed in, Byron quickly ducked out of frame while Cabot appeared flustered, covering her face. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin noticed and joked from the stage, “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”
The clip went viral on TikTok, drawing over 100 million views and spawning memes and parodies—including one by the Philadelphia Phillies, who recreated the moment during a game.
Neither Byron nor Cabot publicly responded, but the damage was done. Byron resigned shortly after the video gained traction online.
Inside sources say the relationship raised concerns about workplace ethics. The incident also reportedly prompted Tiger Woods—an early backer of Astronomer—to sever ties with the company, citing “a commitment to workplace integrity.”
The company has not issued an official statement beyond confirming Byron’s departure and noting it was “effective immediately.”
