A research reveals your body knows

Despite advances in technology and research, some aspects of the human body remain a mystery. One such phenomenon is our ability to sense death approaching. Researchers Arnaud Wisman and Ilan Shira suggest that, like animals, humans can subconsciously detect putrescine, a foul odor released during decomposition. Exposure to this scent triggers a natural response: humans instinctively move away, much like animals that flee or fight when sensing danger. While we may not consciously associate the scent with death, it heightens our vigilance, much like the effect of pheromones, which signal attraction or mating behavior
