The minor was last seen when she left her home in the Santa Martha Acatitla neighborhood to go to a nearby store. According to relatives, Perla Alison asked permission to buy some candy and never returned.
Since then, a nationwide Amber Alert has been activated, prompting an intense search by authorities and citizen groups.
The discovery occurred on a vacant lot near the Constitución de 1917 metro station. A neighbor, alerted by a foul odor coming from an abandoned building, called 911. Officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) cordoned off the area, and experts from the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office subsequently recovered the body.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported that the body showed signs of violence and that an investigation into the crime of femicide has been opened.
