Kamala Harris Shares Photo Of Carter Funeral

A tribute photo shared by Vice President Kamala Harris honoring the late President Jimmy Carter drew attention online—not for what it showed, but for what it left out.

The image, posted to Harris’ social media, showed her with President Biden and former presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama at Carter’s funeral, solemnly placing their hands over their hearts.

Missing from the photo were Donald and Melania Trump, who also attended and sat near the Obamas.

This sparked speculation about whether the crop was intentional. Harris did not mention Trump in her caption, which praised Carter’s legacy. Social media users quickly noticed the omission, calling it “the best photo crop of the decade.”

The Carter Center also shared photos of the service that didn’t include the Trumps. The debate grew given the political tension between Harris and Trump, who faced off in the 2024 election. All five living former presidents attended, along with other notable figures like Mike Pence and JD Vance. Michelle Obama was absent, and no reason was given. Though the day aimed to honor Carter’s legacy, the photo controversy brought politics back into focus.
