President Trump’s Golf Outing Stuns Internet After People Realize Who He’s Playing Against

Tiger Woods is preparing for his PGA Tour return and recently played golf with former President Donald Trump at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. This outing happened just before Woods competes at Torrey Pines, his first official PGA Tour event since The Open.

Trump is also scheduled to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans the same evening. Woods, who has eight career wins at Torrey Pines including the 2008 U.S. Open, will play in the Genesis Invitational, which was moved from Riviera to Torrey South due to the Palisades fire.

Woods hasn’t completed a 72-hole tournament since the 2023 Masters.

His name has come up in discussions about the PGA Tour’s negotiations with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Last week, Trump met with PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and player director Adam Scott in D.C. to discuss the future of pro golf.

Although the Tour didn’t confirm Woods’ presence, flight data showed his jet at Dulles before heading to Florida. The PGA Tour later thanked Trump for helping move negotiations toward a deal to reunite men’s professional golf. Woods also announced the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods, at age 80, calling her his biggest supporter. Trump offered condolences, praising her impact on Woods and sending prayers to the family. Trump and Woods have a long-standing friendship, and in 2019 Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his contributions to golf.
