Every time my mother-in-law, Monica, visited, she took over our master bedroom, pushing aside my things and lighting her signature candles. After years of swallowing my frustration, I decided it was time for a change. When Monica and her husband, Frank, arrived early for a visit, I had already planned a little surprise for her. Despite my requests for her to stay in the guest room, Monica always claimed the master bedroom. This time, I was determined to make sure she got the message.
