Dr. Kelly Powers, a Fox News contributor and respected surgeon, passed away at 45 after a four-year battle with glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Diagnosed in 2020, she endured three surgeries, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, achieving remission in 2021. That same year, after facing both cancer and fertility struggles, Dr. Powers and her husband, Steve, welcomed their son, Bennett, via surrogate. Sadly, her cancer returned in 2024. She began fundraising for a promising treatment available only in Germany. Born in Yonkers, New York, Powers studied at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency at Boston University School of Medicine. She built a successful surgical career and became a familiar face on Fox News and Fox Business, known for her accessible health advice and warm presence.
