When her mom looks at her coffin, her heart is filled with warmth

Posted on March 13, 2025 By Admin

Laura Hillier, a talented and beloved student from Nelson High School in Ontario, lost her battle with leukemia on January 20, 2016, at just 18 years old. First diagnosed at 13, she was declared cancer-free after years of treatment, only for the disease to return aggressively in 2015. To honor her memory, Laura’s classmates and teachers covered her casket with heartfelt messages, inspired by the tradition of signing high school yearbooks. Her funeral was filled with tributes, with purple—her favorite color—displayed throughout. Her story remains a touching reminder of love, strength, and community support
